Previous event management processes

At Berner Group, a wide variety of events are on the agenda throughout the year: from elaborate sales conferences to smaller team workshops. Before collaborating with, Event Manager Miriam Brümmer had to independently inquire about every hotel and every location. The research of graphical material, detailed information on location and equipment and the analysis of reviews took a lot of time. In addition, Ms Brümmer had to prepare the offers manually for presentations and cost overviews.

Save time with modern technology

The entire process is handled via the MICE tool moreDirect. The key data of the event and Mrs. Brümmer's requirements are recorded by Mrs. Six in moreDirect, so that several RFPs can be sent simultaneously to the selected conference hotels at the push of a button. The access of complete conference packages and the use of reusable watch lists with favoured hotels accelerate the enquiry process considerably, which is a great advantage especially for short-term enquiries. As a general rule, the first offers arrive within two hours. Ms Brümmer then received a complete overview of all the requested dates, in which the best offers were compared. The Event Manager always keeps the overview and only has to make the final selection. For Mrs. Brümmer this means a large work relief.

Ms. Brümmer also benefits from the teamwork function, another important functionality in moreDirect. This function enables Ms. Brümmer to be deputised for by her colleagues. They also gain insight into the enquiry process and can quickly and easily provide the required approval. They are also automatically reminded of all current deadlines. Even short-term requests with a high degree of complexity are no issue for Ms Six.
